Can I get braces if I have missing teeth or a crown? Ask our orthodontist

November 29, 2022

When it comes to providing healthy, beautiful smiles for patients of any age, no one can boast the individual care and customized treatment options that our orthodontist at Straight Smiles Orthodontics provides. Our broad experience and state-of-the-art techniques deliver a patient experience that is simply unmatched when it comes to comfort and results.

We have many patients who come to us with a range of dental conditions, and we’ve achieved excellent results in the way their teeth look, feel and function. This includes people with missing teeth and those whose previous dental work includes receiving crowns and root canal procedures.

For patients with missing teeth, successful treatment may be possible to close spaces or create enough room for a replacement tooth or teeth to be placed, depending on the individual circumstances and treatment goals. And for those who have previously received crowns following a root canal procedure, we have advanced materials that allow us to successfully attach the brackets that are a critical component of braces, similarly to any other tooth. Special cases such as these may require our orthodontic specialist to work with a patient’s dentist or endodontist.

The delicate art of bringing one’s teeth and jaws into alignment takes patience and precision; there’s no quick fix and no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why an orthodontic specialist is the best one to consult when it comes to diagnosing and treating unique dental conditions affecting your appearance and oral health. We have an array of improved options that make achieving a healthy, radiant and long-lasting smile more attainable and comfortable than ever before.

Your condition may be new to you, but it’s not new to our orthodontist at Straight Smiles Orthodontics. We are committed to fulfilling our patients’ desires, including those who have had previous dental work that requires special attention. Please contact us with questions or to schedule an appointment!
